This is just the introduction, it's about a girl who takes a drug overdose and every of the factors that guide her to it, e.g she's being bullied, her mum's a drug addict, her parent's have split up. So anyway tell me what you think of the introduction and if it sounds like a good basis for a book. Thanks x While walking back home Mrs. Richton knew something was wrong. Suppose it was mom’s instinct, but judging by the nice of parent she was, she seriously doubted it. It had nothing to do with her day, a leisurely stroll over to Mr. Patel’s corner store to buy more milk and tea bags, meeting Mrs. Daley, her next door neighbor to chat about the latest gossip. Yes, her day had been nothing short of normal. But it was now, as she walked home across the dirty estate with one blue striped plastic carrier bag in one hand and her keys in the other that she sensed something was wrong. She dodged a group of hooded teenagers who were smoking cigarettes and throwing the butts on the floor, they turned and saw her and shouted abuse like they normally did, but Mrs. Richton was too quick and had disappeared behind the corner before you could say druggie. She climbed the stairs up to the third floor and walked along to the end door where the rickety balcony finished. She shoved her key in the door and kicked it difficult, it opened with ease. “Emily?” she shouted, “Emily? I’m back”, she waited for a response and put her carrier bag on the kitchen counter. Silence. “Emily?” she called again, her heart beating faster now, “EMILY! ARE YOU IN?” She could feel her pulse rising as she started to fear the worst. “EMILY! THIS ISN’T silly!” she yelled, scouring the apartment. It was then when she came to a halt at Emily’s’ bedroom door with the posters of bands and topless male celebrities blue-tacked to it that she realised, (this being the last room) that Emily would be in here and whatever was wrong would be discovered the moment her mom turned that handle and opened the door, the moment that would change her life forever. Mrs. Richton took a deep breath and felt the soothing icy round copper doorknob against her skin, she grabbed and pushed and walked into the room. The floor was littered with glossy magazines, CD’s out of their cases, piles of dirty clothes and hair curlers left on stand-by. Her eyes fell upon the limp body of Emily. Her blonde hair was messy and tangled and her body was twisted where she had fallen. A little white froth had crusted on her white lips and there was a pile of bloody vomit close-by. “EMILY!” Mrs. Richton screamed, lunging forward to hug her daughter. She was clammy and sweaty, icy to the touch, everything Mrs. Richton had expected. “Emily! My baby!” she wailed as she rocked backwards and forwards staring into her child’s pale face. She reached into her pocket and brought out her phone, her fingers dialing ’999’ without stopping to think. The phone rung and after pressing the number for an ambulance, it started to ring again a good 15 times (she had counted the rings to distract herself) and eventually a man with a deep voice answered, “I need an ambulance!”, she yelled, “It’s my daughter, she’s frothing at the mouth and I think-I think she’s dead.” Mrs. Richton burst into tears and wailed out noisy. She had fully realised that Emily was probably dead. When she said it out noisy it felt as if every the remaining wish had been sucked from her and the full force of the blow had knocked down her barriers. “SHE’S DEAD! SHE CAN’T DIE!” she screamed, she cradled the limp 15 year old in her arms. Something to the left of her glinted in the sun. Mrs. Richton loosely let go of her body and grabbed for it with her free hand. It was a little red bottle, the top was missing and a hastily placed label on the front clearly labeled it as anti-depressants, except Mrs. Richton knew that they weren’t anti-depressant tablets. They were her ecstasy tablets. Her hand shook uncontrollably; the bottle was empty. “No!” she cried even louder, “NO!” The man with the deep voice tried his best to calm her down; he told her that an ambulance was on its way, made her tell him every about Emily and what she had taken. She tried her best but the words didn’t arrive out like she wanted them to. every she could think of was Emily. Oh yeah I forgot to say that the way I write, I write the end first and work backwards if that makes sense... "999" is the number you call for emergency services in England :)

Resolved Question: Does anybody else hate Gossip magazines & TV programmes?
I hate gossip magazines like OK and HELLO and stupid Heat magazine. They are crammed full with lies about celebrities who don't need any extra stress/pressure put on them. They just seem to delve into peoples lives and try and dig up every single scrap of anything bad that they might have done or been involved in. It's not fair, and it's not necessary! People seem to think that because it's in a paper or magazine it must be true, because it's not in a book but that's not right. The cheap, crappy red-top papers like the SUN are just as bad as gossip magazines sometimes. And now on BBCThree is the programme, "Most Annoying People 2008". This isn't necessary, we don't NEED this stupid show. It's not informative, it's not nice, and it's nasty and hurtful. every it is, is a group of low level celebrities bitching about other celebrities, it's just stupid and childish like school yard bullying standard. How would they feel if they found out that people hated them for apparently being "annoying", people who they don't know, have never met and have never done anything to them were bitching about them. It's just so STUPID. I think people need to cease gossiping about troubled musicians as well, it's the pressure put on them from being famous and in high demand to make appearances and play gigs every the time. They turn to drugs and alcohol to try and keep up the pace or to cope with the stress. Bitching about them in gossip magazines saying, "Junkie", "Waster" and calling them, "Useless" and "A Waste Of Space" isn't going to make them feel good about themselves. It's like someone coming up to you and shouting, " What is the point in you? You may as well be dead! You're scum of the Earth, go and rot!" How would you feel? Not good, pretty upset and depressed about it. So they turn to the drugs and alcohol to help them cope, and are the bitched about more and it's a vicious circle. I think nasty, spiteful and jealous people read gossip magazines to receive a kick from seeing someone in trouble and kicking them when they're already down. But because they think they're famous, they seem to think it's acceptable. They wouldn't dream of saying it to a "normal" person. Celebrities are people, they have feelings. And gossip magazines are horrid! They should be banned, or a law should be passed to control what is written in them. Lies shouldn't be published as fact. It's decieving and lays down a untrue perception of a celebrity who has never done anything to the reader. Yes, a bit of a rant. But I'm annoyed, it's ridiculous. The unhappy people who need a gossip magazine to make them feel good about themselves need to grow up and receive a life rather than drooling gleefully over someone elses downfall. Charlotte.x

Resolved Question: which jobs are suitable for me?
Here are what I'm interested in: I adore celebrity gossip, or gossip in general. I adore fashion, I'm not very good at drawing but people are forever asking me advice about fashion, hair & make up. I adore acting, I'm fairly good at it, but not sure that's what I'd like to do for a living. I'm NOT sporty whatsoever. I always receive straight As at everything, never got a B, so I can pick any career actually. I can NOT sing. I'm not that crazy about business, tho my dad is a business man. I adore partying, drinking, flirting w/ boys etc. & just having fun in general, LOL. tho i really like almost any social event, even the boring charity events I've got to attend. I just adore meeting new people. I'm really smart but I don't like working TOO difficult. I mean I like working, feeling useful, but nothing major. I never study too much, LOL. I like animals a lot but can't stand seeing anything unhappy about them. I really like helping people, especially kids. People say I'm really pretty, I'm thin too, but NOT model-girl thin, so don't suggest becoming a model, even tho I'd adore to. I like reading A LOT also I like writing SO MUCH. My teachers say my wwriting is very good, but I don't think it's THAT good, but I adore writing neverthless. I'm like SO talkative, & people say I have a "charm" dunno what's that supposed to mean. But there's one thing I know: I can talk people into almost anything, LOL. So.... What would be the best career for me?? Thanks in advance!! Oh & sorry for the LONG list, LOL :))))
